About SVGtoReact

SVGtoReact converts SVG files into React components you can paste into a JavaScript or TypeScript project.

What it is for

Frontend engineers, icon-library maintainers, and designers who already work in React need a component, not another copy of the raw SVG. The site is a single-purpose tool: add an SVG, read the component, copy or download it. There is no account and no paid API.

How conversion works

The engine is SVGR. It parses the SVG and prints a React component, so attribute names such as stroke-width become strokeWidth without a text replace that would also rewrite words inside the artwork. Optional cleanup uses SVGO. Prettier formats the result. Those libraries run in your browser. The published tools are the main converter, the JSX converter, and the TSX converter.

What it does not do

The public site converts to React JSX and TSX only. The preview shows the sanitized SVG in a frame with scripts disabled. It does not execute the generated component. Files larger than 500 KB are rejected. SVG is treated as untrusted input: scripts, event handlers, embedded HTML, and external URLs are removed before preview and before conversion.

Privacy

Artwork is not uploaded. Read the privacy policy for what the host can still see, which is ordinary request logs, not your SVG. Questions can go to the contact page.
